Welcome to the Simcoe County Homeschool Info Link—SCHIL!
Whether you are a homeschool veteran, or you are completely new to homeschooling, we want to help you make connections, join activities, and find the resources and activities you need on your homeschool journey in Simcoe County, Ontario.
SCHIL began many years ago with a phone tree! Eventually, the phone tree was replaced with a monthly newsletter. Vanda and Laura initiated the newsletter, and also began the annual Parent’s Guide conference in Barrie with support from Henry, Corrinna and some others. Henry and Corrinna carried on the work of running the conference until the final conference was held in 2014. Christine joined as the newsletter editor in 2016, and Henry and Corrinna retired in 2019 from 26 years of homeschool leadership.
